Dr Edna Tallam-Kimaiyo, PhD, RN, MPH, CGNC, is a distinguished leader in health care with vast expertise in policy and regulatory matters. She holds a PhD in Nursing Education from Stellenbosch University, an MPH, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. As the former CEO of the Nursing Council of Kenya, she has led significant initiatives on health workforce, regulatory affairs and compliance and now supports ICN and the Florence Nightingale Foundation as a health expert. She also serves as Joint Secretary of Kenya’s Presidential Taskforce on Human Resources for Health and Senior Lecturer.
She is an alumnus of the Afyabora Global Health Leadership Programme and a graduate of the Global Leadership Institute (GNLI) Programme, Leadership for Change (LFC) and a certified Global Nurse Consultant (CGNC).
Edna was awarded “CEO of the year award 2023” by Champions of Governance.
