With a bachelor’s in nursing from Chile and 23 years of experience in the public health system, Mr Cortés Leddy specializes in organizational and personal wellbeing. He is the author of the book "Felicidad en Serio” and is a member of the Instituto del Bienestar and director of Felices (movimientofelices.org), a citizens' movement for wellbeing. He has recently served as Vice President of the Chilean Society of Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing and National Council of the Chilean Nurses Association, in addition to being a university professor and lecturer on wellness. In 2023, he was appointed National Director of Nursing at the Ministry of Health, where he directs important public policies such as nursing specialties, undergraduate education and nursing in all policies, and is an advisor to the Minister of Health on humanization. He is a national and international reference in nursing and stands out as an influential voice in the discipline.
