Professor Eunice Ndirangu-Mugo is a prominent scholar and leader in healthcare education. As the Dean of AKU-SONAM and Chair of the Nursing Council of Kenya, she has significantly impacted nursing and midwifery in East Africa, shaping policy, advancing academic standards, and strengthening professional practice in the region. Prof. Ndirangu holds a BSc. Nursing, a MSc. in Advanced Nursing Practice, and a PhD in Nursing Studies (University of Nottingham). She also earned a PGDip in Global Mental Health (University of Glasgow) and a PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education from Oxford Brookes University. Her research focuses on HIV/AIDS prevention, the intersection of infectious and NCDs, and the role of education in health outcomes. She pioneered Kenya's first Scopes of Practice for Advanced Practice Nursing and Midwifery and shaped key policy and regulatory frameworks. Her leadership continues to drive innovation, strengthen healthcare systems, and mentor future professionals.
