Dr. Maurice YE is a confirm Public Health expert with over 22 years of experience in health
system strengthening in LMIC, Health policy development, medical research, and health
programs implementation. Since October 2023, he has served as the Health Policy Advisor at
the World Health Organization (WHO) Madagascar, assuming as well the position of Health
System Strengthening Officer.
Dr. YE holds a Doctorate in Medicine, a master’s, and a PhD degree in Public Health. His
extensive career includes key roles such as Resident Advisor for the USAID/PMI Measure
Malaria Project, and Head of Research, Training, and Communication at the Nouna Health
Research Center in Burkina Faso. A prolific researcher, Dr. YE has authored over 30 peer-
reviewed publications, reflecting his commitment to advancing evidence-based public health practices.
