Doctor Rym Ghouma is a Health Economist & Researcher at the Institute for Research and Information in Health Economics (IRDES) in Paris. Her research focuses on policy issues related to health systems’ performance, financing, and organization in high as well as low- and middle-income countries, with a focus on the MENA region. Dr Rym holds a PhD in health economics from the University of London, and an MBA as well as an MPA from Sciences Po Paris. She had her Bachelor degree in economics from ESSEC business school. She was a lecturer at LSHTM and Sciences Po and a research fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Dr Rym had several consulting experiences at the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and UN agencies. Prior to her research career, Dr Rym held several managerial positions in the healthcare and medical industry in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
