Francis Ayomoh
Public Health Physician and Health Systems Expert
Dr. Francis Ayomoh is a Public Health Physician and Health Systems Expert. He worked on several heath systems strengthening and healthcare financing projects across sub-Saharan African. He is a doctoral researcher in Primary Health Care at the University of Oxford exploring task shifting for maternal health services in Nigeria and holds an MSc (distinction) in Health Policy, Planning and Financing. Prior to his doctoral studies, he was the deputy lead of the Healthcare Financing team at the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria and is a member of the Nigeria Country Core Group of the Joint Learning Network for Universal Health Coverage. Francis is a Commonwealth Scholar, Mandela Washington Fellow and Fellow of the Missing Billons Initiative. He is the founder and pioneer President of the Oxford Global Health Society at the University of Oxford. His research interests include Primary Healthcare, Health Systems Strengthening, Universal Health Coverage, Maternal and Reproductive Health, Non-Communicable Diseases and Disability Inclusion in Healthcare.
