Christine Hancock
Founder and CEO, C3 Collaborating for Health
Christine Hancock worked for many years in Britain's NHS as a clinician and manager. She spent 12 years as CEO of the RCN and then was elected unopposed as President of ICN. during her term she visited nurses in 50 countries. She founded and leads C3 Collaborating for Health a London-based charity with a global footprint, tackling non communicable disease. C3 works with diverse stakeholders to focus on the 3 risk factors which cause the major chronic diseases: tobacco, what we eat and drink, and lack of physical activity. 46% of health costs are from chronic diseases, yet up to 80% of premature deaths from chronic disease could be prevented or delayed by addressing these behaviours. Sigma Theta Tau International recognised C3 in 2017 with the Archon Award, for exceptional leadership in advancing health in the world. Christine is a graduate of the London School of Economics and the London Business School.
